Hi, my name is Dr. Mitchel Friedman, owner of Newman Springs Dental Care here in Lincroft, Middletown Township, NJ. You know a lot of patients asked us questions about our office and the most frequently asked questions that people ask, in fact you should ask any dentist, is what type of protection barriers does your office have for patient safety and comfort. Well that’s a great question, and first of all let me tell you that our patient’s comfort and safety is our number one priority. We and are families are patient too. All of our dental instruments are heat sterilized according to federal guidelines. They are wrapped to protect the sterile packets in sets and they’re opened in front of you when you are actually seated in the chair. Our doctors, assistants and hygienist wear mask and protective eyewear and gloves; and for the patients we do quite a number of things to help them in their comfort and safety. You are offered protective sunglasses that not only protects your eyes from any potential splatter but also protect you from the overhead light that can get quite bright. We also have blankets if needed to keep you warm and comfortable. Patients are a little bit nervous when they come to the dental office and it just helps people immediately relax. Another thing we do for patient comfort is we offer noise cancelling headphones and Verizon FiOS with over 1000 TV channels. This helps drown out the dental sounds. You can enjoy that while you’re getting numb: we only ask that you return the remote before you leave the treatment room! We use a topical anesthesia on a q-tip where we rub the area so we can administer the local anesthesia and you hardly feel anything, other than maybe a teeny-tiny pinch. Using the Wand, a computer controlled anesthetic device that measures how tight your tissue is and makes adjustments, we give very comfortable injections. After the appointment we have the patient rinse with mouth rinse, we give them analgesics, Advil or Tylenol so it’s already working in them so when the numbness wears off. You also get a warm moist towel to freshen up and make sure that you’re presentable to the outside world. I call anyone who’s had a difficult procedure to ask them how they’re doing. If I have to leave a voice mail message, I will give you a phone number where you can reach me. Don’t be surprised if I send you a video message via email! If you’d like to make an appointment and meet me and discuss your dental concerns, our office number is 732-945-4600 or you can check us out on our website at NewmanSpringsdentalcare.com. Thank you.

Thank you for always acoamodcting my hectic schedule. I don’t like to change any appointments, especially with my dentist or doctor but sometimes it is necessary. You don’t put any additional guilt on me and that makes it so easy to work with your office. I have never experienced an unpleasant visit. The offer of the hand waxing, headphones, tv, beverages and cookies are appreciated. More importantly is the staff that continually impresses me with your courtesy and conversations. Great website!
